Rafał Kowalczyk is a head of the Mammal Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences in Białowieża (Poland), associate professor in mammal ecology. He has conducted studies on behavioral ecology and conservation management of carnivores and ungulates. Rafał Kowalczyk is co-author of over 100 scientific papers and book chapters. He is heavily involved in popularizing science. His current research is focused on foraging ecology and paleoecology of large herbivores.
