Krzysztof Niedziałkowski is an assistant professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences and at the Mammal Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences. He is an environmental social scientist specializing in environmental sociology and politics with a focus on the directions and determinants of public policy development. Dr. Niedziałkowski is interested in the dynamics of institutions over time and factors influencing institutional stability and change. His analyses address public policies connected with the environment: protected areas, wildlife, landscape conservation, land use planning, and forest policy. He is also interested in environmental governance and interactions between the state, civil society and markets in dealing with environmental problems.
